To My Clients, Friends and Family…
If you live in Denton County, or if you know someone that lives in Denton County, please take note of the following information…
The Denton County Appraisal District is reappraising areas and instead of working off their data base they are knocking on doors and asking for bank appraisals, they are taking photos and external measurements. We were surprised to learn that they are doing this, but are hearing from our clients whom are actually being approached at their homes.
Our office has spoken with Denton County Appraisal District.
1) You do NOT have to give them any information even though they might represent that they have the right to it.
2) You CAN tell them to leave your property.
3) You do NOT have to let them in your home.
Any appraisal that you have paid for, i.e. as a result of a real estate transaction, is your personal property, and you have no oblibation to share it with anyone.
Stand up for your rights.
